Come and give a cheer for SMC!
I've been reminiscing a lot about Camp Selkirk. (It's all your fault, Fred!) There have been a lot of photos and stories posted on the Selkirk Memories blog, and I've even sent in a few myself.

I have to say, I don't remember the beach looking this good (must have been the lighting that day!) .... but who could ever forget the smell!?! Anyone who has ever been to Camp Selkirk has to remember the lovely aroma of rotting seaweed...turned me off Sushi, that's for sure!

But, despite all that, the beach was always one of my favorite places to "get away from it all". As your stereo-typical introvert, I always needed to get away from people from time to time, just to unwind and be quiet for a while. Walking out on the rocks on Lake Erie was a wonderful way to relax, re-charge, and just sit quietly for a while.

lovely and full of memories!!! I used to love going there alone as well. . .it was nice to get away from people sometimes. I'm half and half -- part intro, part extro. . . maybe i haven't declared myself yet?! ha ha!! Oh yes, that was one stinky beach!!!!
